Strathcraig
___Getting There______________
Although Strathcraig is on a minor road, it is not so far off the beaten track. There is a normal full-width road from Inverness via Ullapool to Lochinver, and Strathcraig is only about five minutes further on by way of a single-track road - which would eventually take you back to Ullapool by a shorter but more dramatic route, reckoned to be one of Britain's greatest car drives.
If you are travelling from Edinburgh or Glasgow, Inverness can be reached in about three hours - and of course has direct rail and air connections. Allow about two hours by car from Inverness, because it's almost 100 miles, but you are going to one of the most wild and remote areas of Europe. Driving up here is still a pleasure and the scenery is unique.
If this will be your first visit, you will never forget it; if you've been before, welcome back!
